Zachariah Busch

Biography

Zachariah Joseph Busch is a multi-medium artist from St. Paul, MN. He works with bone, antler, ivory, and wood carving; acrylic, oil, and watercolor painting; and custom canvas sign making.

Zachariah was born in Wisconsin and grew up in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, where he attended the Carmichael & Carmichael Studio Art school.

In the ensuing years, Zachariah pursued several art mediums, including running a 14-head screen printing press printing shirts for rock bands, photography and photo processing, custom wood and canvas sign making, and henna body art.

Since 2003, Zach has removed himself from normal society, traveling the country and living a neo-nomadic lifestyle in a custom yurt that he built himself. In the summer of 2005, Zachariah began an ongoing apprenticeship studying bone, antler, and ivory carving under William Lloyd of Lloyd Studios. He is now traveling 365 days a year with his business partner and fiancee, Kacie Moosbrugger, showcasing his art 10 months of the year and spending the rest of his time on South Padre Island, TX.
