Zachariah Busch

Biography

Zachariah Joseph Busch is a multi-medium artist from St. Paul, MN. He works with bone, antler, ivory, and wood carving.

Zachariah was born in Wisconsin and grew up in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, where he attended the Carmichael & Carmichael Studio Art school. Originally, his focus was on acrylic, oil, and watercolor painting.

In the ensuing years since art school, Zachariah pursued several art mediums, including running a 14-head screen printing press printing shirts for rock bands, photography and photo processing, custom wood and canvas sign making, and henna body art.

Since 2003, Zachariah has been traveling the country and living a neo-nomadic lifestyle in a custom yurt that he built himself. In the summer of 2005, Zachariah began an apprenticeship studying bone, antler, and ivory carving under William Lloyd of Lloyd Studios. In 2008 he became a journeyman artist, and began managing the Lloyd Studios gallery. In 2010, branching off from the Lloyd Studios tree, Zach began Busch Fine Art Studios.

He is now traveling 365 days a year with his business partner and fiancee, Kacie Moosbrugger, showcasing his art all over the U.S.
